Due to issues with privacy that were encountered on our sister site IqaluitOnline.Com, we have implimented a much more secure way to contact the owner of a classified ad. Previously, your email address and/or phone number were displayed publically and we received a few complaints that people received SPAM email (from web-spiders that crawl the Internet looking for email addresses) and even a few prank phone calls.

Although anyone can view your ad, in order to contact you a person must first sign on and then send you a private message using our private messaging system. The link to send you a PM is on each of your ads. Since people only have to register once, and they can set their configuration to "Remember Me" they do not even need to log in each time so we hope this is not too inconvenient.

We would like to point out, but not encourage, that if people really want to make themselves as easy to contact as possible, or do not want to bother checking their private messages, you can include your contact information in the description of the ad. If you do this, please be for-warned that any additional SPAM you receive in your email box is your own fault.

To get your Private Messages, simply logon and click the "Private Messages" link in the User Menu. You can also always go to your profile and click on the "My Messages" tab.

As a follow up to this, we made a modification to make it easiet to know when you have a PM. When you are logged in, the "Login or Register" box informs you if you have any messages
